About the Photographer

My name is Erika Byrd. I am a wife, a mother, and an artist. I have a Bachelor's of Fine Arts from Shepherd University and A Master's in Art Education from Mount St. Mary's University. After taking a break for a few years after my children were born, I am picking up my camera again. I am focused on capturing those fleeting moments of childhood, family, and life. I know first hand how quickly they grow-up and how fast life can change. I am always photographing my own young family and I love to capture the beautiful candid moments, the giggles between the smiles. These are the moments that make us who we are, from engagements to childbirth, graduation to grandparents, we all have so many stories to tell. Let's make art through photography, together.
